We take responsibility

Solutions from the specialist

Since 1983, ISOWA GmbH has developed into a quality supplier of technical foam plastics with maximum reliability and the best consulting service. Our motto: Individual projects require individual solutions. With over 250 employees at two locations, we develop customized products and services for insulation, sealing, cushioning and insulating applications. Our products protect against cold, heat, moisture, air, noise, vibrations as well as impact and cutting hazards and are mainly used in the automotive, building services, construction and industrial sectors.

ISOWA foams

Since its foundation, ISOWA has been working on the task of making the world more sustainable. At that time, the focus was on the thermal insulation of pipelines.

With our wide-ranging ISOFIT® product program, we not only managed to lay the foundation for our company's success, but also to inspire our customers with tailor-made solutions for increasing the energy efficiency of heating systems.

In order to always be able to offer our customers the best solutions, we are never satisfied with the next best solution - even back then.

STATUS QUO

ISOWA implements principles of sustainability and environmental protection in accordance with the ISOWA Compliance Declaration and the ISOWA corporate policy and sets these standards as a benchmark within the supply chain.

Thanks to the introduction of our integrated, certified management systems for environmental and energy management in accordance with DIN 14001 and DIN 50001 more than 10 years ago, we are already in a position to limit and measure our CO2 footprint.

We can therefore show the emissions for which we are directly responsible (Scope 1) as well as the indirect emissions from purchased energy (Scope 2). We are also listed on renowned sustainability reporting platforms such as Ecovadis, Integrity Next and Supplierassurance. Take a look and see our sustainability performance for yourself.

The recycling of production waste from differently composed foam plastics presents us with challenges in terms of recycling and sustainability.

We are honest: the answer to the question of whether recycling is possible is “yes”.

This is because we have found promising approaches and are pursuing them, with an existing recycling rate of over 10%. The aim is to avoid production waste and maintain the right balance between product diversity and resource conservation.
Our range of materials is broad and complex, from cellular elastomers to polyurethane foam and nonwovens made from various fibers.

We also strive for variation and environmental compatibility in self-adhesive products, such as water-based or hot-melt adhesive systems.

Together with our customers, suppliers and other partners, we are working continuously to successively improve our recycling rate in order to slow down material cycles and thus reduce the use of natural resources and the generation of emissions.

Our aim is to offer our customers a better solution. Our perspective and our objectives with regard to sustainability are also derived from this claim: we want to become even better than we are.

Our agenda therefore includes the gradual introduction of a sustainability management system based on ISO 26000, the reduction of our carbon footprint through the use of more sustainable materials and more efficient production processes and the expansion of our sustainability reporting.

We can only achieve this through close and trusting cooperation with our company's stakeholders, in particular our employees, customers and suppliers.

We look forward to working with you on the path to a more sustainable future and supporting you in realizing your visions and product innovations.
